About Me
Acupuncturist
I have been working in the health industry since 1999 initially as a sport therapist and personal trainer and later qualifying as an acupuncturist. During my training in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture I had the privilege to be under the instruction of highly skilled Chinese doctors at Middlesex University and practicing under their guidance in a busy clinic in Archway and at the Whittington hospital.
I have also studied acupuncture in its homeland China where I gained valuable experience and knowledge working and training under the watchful eye of Professor Sun. In fact I found it so beneficial that I returned twice to further my skills in acupuncture.
After graduating with a degree in Acupuncture and being awarded a Certificate of Excellence in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture studies I set up my own clinic and was also employed as the acupuncturist at St Luke's Hospice in Kenton for many years to treat patients and their families receiving palliative care. Recently due to redundancy I now run my clinic in Hatch End full time. I am passionate about helping people gain optimum health and well being to improve the quality of their lives.

Growing evidence suggests acupuncture is beneficial for treating side effects of chemo & radiotherapy. Having worked in a hospice for many years I have vast experience in palliative care.

About acupuncture
"helping you gain optimum health & well being"
Acupuncture is becoming more recognised for its health benefits and most GP's are now referring it to their patients. It is effective as it treats both the symptoms and the underlying cause so rather than just suppressing the problem by masking symptoms acupuncture will help to cure the problem.
Acupuncture has been used in China for over 2 thousand years, back then it was basic and they used very fine flint stone to insert into the body. Now very fine single use needles are used and inserted along energy channels known as meridians.
Acupuncture theory is based around 'Qi' the Chinese word for energy. We have energy flowing around our bodies in and out of every cell. It flows along pathways that cannot be seen or felt, think of aeroplane routes which are set pathways that can't be seen or felt. Where these pathways (meridians) come close to the surface we can access them with fine needles, these are known as acupuncture points.
All the points have functions and can be used in different combinations to help the body and mind.
